Dinah has been serving up customized craft haircutting with a specialty in straight razor cutting and soft, lived in texture for 21 years. With rock n roll music being a major focus on how she executes her approach, she breaks each haircut down and adds a modern and soft feel to many of the classic shapes and cuts from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. She has trained and learned from some of the best salons across the country. Dinah continues to hone her craft with continuing education spanning from Pony Education, Hairbrained Academy, The Left Brain Group, and Sally Rogerson.

She offers a safe space for all genders of all races, and only works with non-toxic products that are better for our planet, and for people.

She believes that with the proper technique that pairs with a client’s natural hair texture and bone structure, she gives her clients that true “lived in” soft movement that lasts for months. Her true passion is haircutting and has an eye for pixies, modern mullet and shags, textured bobs and longer.

Dinah is midwest born and raised, but now lives in central Massachusetts with her husband, daughter and dog, Max. She loves a good horror flick and listening to true crime podcasts.

Hi there, I’m Torrie (she/her) and I’ve been a hairdresser in the Boston area for nearly 20 years, after following in my mother’s footsteps, who is also a hairdresser.

I love to continue my hairdressing education, and have traveled internationally to learn from some of the best. Behind the chair I’m most into effortless hairstyles such as shags and french bobs, but I get very excited for an edgy or precision cut. I also love to color hair!

Outside of work I like to spend my time off with my family, tending to my many plants, or heading into nature with my amazing pit-mix, Lilah. I also have 3 cats of my own and to say I’m an animal lover is a complete understatement. I enjoy volunteering my time to animal rescue and farm sanctuaries whenever possible.

I also love to travel within and outside of the country, but I’m currently setting out to visit more national parks and other nature/landscapes within the US! The beauty of nature is absolutely everything to me.

My not-so-guilty pleasures are all things paranormal/supernatural as well as garbage reality tv.

I currently live in Somerville, MA but grew up in central Massachusetts, and I’m so excited to be making plans to move closer to home and continue working at Textured Petite!
